Okay, you send ISK to BIG Games. This is recorded in the wallet journal with a date- and timestamp. Once this is entered into the database it generates a ticket number for you, which anyone can check against their ISK transfer date- and timestamp at this page. You can also confirm your ticket purchase by viewing the Receipt's Page using the in-game browser.
This page then describes how the draw occurs. It is completely random and quite a bit of fun.
That is how the draw method is fraud-proof.

But's not 1 number, its around 5 numbers, depending on a check to see how much activity is in the channel.
So, I tell you what. You try and get five characters in the BIG Lottery channel next Monday evening, and organise them to enter a specific number that will make your lottery ticket win. Do that, please, just try.

That would take an inconceivably long period of time. The draws take long enough as they do (heck, OZ has more say on that than I do - being there for more draws than I have).
